About me

I am an independent consultant

I have always valued critical thinking. I have spent a lot of time exploring the workings of the human mind, our often irrational behavior, biases and imperfections.
At the same time, I have learned to recognize techniques that exploit our weaknesses (mainly aggressive marketing) and can quickly spot manipulation – a kind of bullshit radar.

When designing solutions, I analyze the facts without the admixture of ubiquitous marketing gibberish.
I see more clearly the advantages and disadvantages of different technologies, and thus I can find alternatives and better match them to the real needs of my clients.

I have long since accepted that facts can often be inconvenient and the truth can be painful, something I have struggled with many times myself. However, this is, in my opinion, a natural and winding path to achieving goals and success at the end of it.

My core values

Aside from onions (raw) and leeks (in any form), I also can’t stand abrasiveness. In a world of fake news, spreading conspiracy theories and aggressive marketing, honesty is still the most important thing for me.
I value it in my personal relationships and in my work with my colleagues and clients.

I focus on dependability and care about a job well done that brings real benefits. Words are important, but actions and completed projects are more appealing to me.

Courage helps me take on challenges and help others when there is anxiety about risks and uncertainty about the outcome of new ventures.

I also use my innate stubbornness when solving technical problems and tracking down the root of its cause. This sometimes takes my sleep at night, but it also gives me tremendous satisfaction.

Experienced expert

Despite my many years in the industry, they are not the proof of my expertise.
I used my natural passion for learning and problem solving in every project.
This in turn pushed me naturally towards certification. I have managed to gain many industry-appreciated certifications such as:

  • Red Hat Certified Engineer
  • Red Hat Certified Architect
  • Professional Scrum Master
  • Zabbix Certified Professional
  • Prince2: Foundation
  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate
  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect Professional
  • AWS Certified Advanced Networking – Specialty
  • AWS Certified SysOps Administrator
  • Certified Jenkins Engineer

I specialise in the area of DevOps and Platform Engineering.

I have spent thousands of hours applying my knowledge and experience in designing and often also implementing solutions for professional application platforms.

I have used many technologies of which the most common were:

  • OpenShift
  • Cloud (AWS, GCP, Azure)
  • Jenkins, Tekton, GitLab CI
  • Docker
  • Rancher

and of course Kubernetes, which I have been working with since before it became widely used.

I’ve also spent hundreds of hours training people in these technologies and thus further deepened my knowledge so that I can more easily pass it on to my trainees.
